The mission of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA) is to assist youth in achieving their full potential through innovative, impactful programs.

JBBBSLA offers one-to-one mentors for Jewish youth ages 6-17 who could benefit from an additional positive adult role model.

Being a mentor is a rewarding, meaningful volunteer experience unlike any other. In just a few hours a month, mentors can have a transformative effect on a child’s life.

Having a mentor can have many benefits for a child, including increased school engagement and self-esteem, stronger social skills, greater concern for others, and less risky behavior.

College Access + Success

JBBBSLA delivers two programs to help students achieve their higher education goals. Anyone who participated in one of our programs may be eligible for these programs.

Our college guidance program provides valuable information and counseling that’s grade-specific, so students get the kind of support they need when it’s most relevant to their lives.

We also offer three unique scholarships that help eligible students cover the cost of tuition, books, school supplies, rent, transportation, and/or program fees.
