2016 Brunch & Family Day Honoree
Joey embodies what it truly means to be a mentor and an advocate for Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA) and Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus. As the Co-Chair of our annual Golf Classic, he has helped raise funds to send hundreds of kids to camp each summer. He is a dedicated board member, camp committee member, and Big Brother. It’s evident that he deserves to be this year’s Brunch & Family Day Honoree.
In 2003, Joey became a Big Brother to his Little Brother, Matthew, mentoring him, encouraging him, and helping him grow into a thriving young adult in the community. Joey was honored as Big Brother of the Year in 2009.
Joey contributes to the local community in many ways. He serves on the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Board of Governors, actively supports the Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging, is a member and former board member of the Rotary Club of Beverly Hills, and supports the programs of the Southern California Golf Association Junior Foundation. Joey works as a Life Insurance Specialist at Parq Advisors Insurance and Estate Planning in Beverly Hills and has a financial services career spanning two decades. When he’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys playing golf, coaching youth baseball, and spending time with his wife, Amy, and their two children, James and Eloise.
